Forest Area started the season with a big win versus Brethren 64-44. The Warriors trailed early 6-0 after the first drive of the game. The Warriors offense then took over the game and scored 64 points. The Warriors were led offensively by Chase Ingersoll who had 25 carries for 307 yards and 5 td’s. He also was 9-14 passing 107 yards 3 td’s and 1 interception. Lane Lindsay added 5 carries for 48 yards and 6 catches for 81 yards and 2 td’s. Eric Burke had 13 carries for 54 yards rushing and 2 catches for 8 yards. Bradly Lownsberry had 1 catch for 18 yards and 1 TD. Defensively the Warriors were led by Patrick Hulwick with 11 tackles. Eric Burke had 7 tackles and a sack. Lane Lindsay added 6 tackles and 2 interceptions, forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Josh Saylor had 5 tackles and 97 yard fumble recovery for a TD. Jett Symons added 6 tackles. Chase Ingersoll added 5 tackles and a forced fumble. Jake McGee and Sir-Xaiver Navoni each added 4 tackles.
The Warriors host Mesick next Friday for their annual Community Tailgate game.
