The past few weeks have been crazy with the Covid-19 outbreak, schools closing, and sports being cancelled. However, we would like to take this time and post some good news. Over the past couple weeks there have been several basketball players recognized for different awards at the conference, area, regional, and state levels.

The Ski-Valley Conference recognized the following athletes as All-Conference for both boys and girls. The following boys received All-Conference: Chase Ingersoll 1st team, Johnny Stosio 2nd team, and Phoenix Mulholland honorable mention. The following girls received All-Conference: McKenzie Szymchack 2nd team and Maycey Turner honorable mention.

The Cadillac News released their All-Area team and the following boys received recognition: Chase Ingersoll 1st team and Johnny Stosio honorable mention.

The Record Eagle released their All-Regional team and the following boys received recognition: Chase Ingersoll 1st team and Johnny Stosio honorable mention. The following girls received recognition: McKenzie Szymchack 6th team.

The basketball coaches association (BCAM) released awards and the following received recognition: Oustanding Senior Student Athlete Award were given to Chase Ingersoll and Robert Perkins. In order to qualify for this award student athletes must have a grade point average of minimum 3.80. Team first award was given to Johnny Stosio.

The All-State teams were released and Chase Ingersoll was voted 1st team Divisin 4 All-State.

Congratulations to all our winter basketball athletes on their accomplishments.
